Ill Prepared at Dundas Sports

Hi everyone! My band, Ill Prepared, played another gig at Dundas Sports and Recreation club last night and it went off! :D

Despite the seriously crappy weather in Sydney (which made setting up a bloody nightmare :( ), there were still quite a few punters in the club when we started up at 8.30 and after about 3 songs, we had a few dancing. The song that really seemed to get them interested was Fortunate Son (CCR), so I'd highly recommend it to other bands as something to play to get people moving.

We managed to keep almost of these people for the remainder of the evening and as they got happier, they was more dancing and frivolity. Finally, we finished the third set about 11.45, but were implored to play more, so we did a few more songs.

All in all, we played pretty well, had awesome fun and had pleople asking for contact details for parties and when or where we were playing next. 8)

The only downside was that when we had to pack up the rain was torrential and horizontal, so we decided "stuff it" and left the gear there to be picked up this morning....

A great gig! :D

Congratulations,

Seems to me that you went over really well with the crowd:) Did you have cards or leaflets or something to leave with those that asked about private parties, etc.?

Great work,
Bob

Actually Bob, the cards and leaflets thing is something we know we need to have, but haven't got around to getting sorted, along with a web site.... :( Beer coasters usually do the trick in the meantime...

There is a good web site that Warriors bands can use for free if they can't get their own web site happening. It's Coverbands.com.au.

Here's our link:
