Warriors Music Assocation of NSW Jam No. 6

Each month, Ellaways holds a jam for anyone interested in making live music. They are held on the first Wednesday on alternate months. Here is a chance to get ourselves organized for upcoming jams with songs and players.. Alan Tompkins- what a great idea :)

Warriors Music Assocation of NSW Jam No. 6

Postby AjayWW on Fri May 04, 2007 5:58 pm

Hi everyone!

The Warriors Music Association of NSW will be holding it's next Jam night on June 2nd, at Dundas Sports and Recreation Club, Dundas. :D

This is our 6th Jam night and we are expecting a big rollup, so if you are interested in playing on the night, please PM or email me to register your interest. It is highly likely that we will receive more potential players than we have time to get up on stage, so get in early!

Playing time on stage will be limited to 20 minutes perband/ensemble, to keep the evening rolling along and get the mazimum number of acts up and playing.

Hope to see you there! 8)

Hi AJ,

So is there no WW concerts or Music Stores involved in Sydney or even NSW?

We are running Ellaways Music WW Round 24 concert on the 10th of June at the Suncorp Piazza at South Bank. A really great venue where all the (other) big stars play :)

Prior to that we were using the Rock Arena and the Kedron-Wavell Service Club, both also prestigious venues for Live Music.

What has gone wrong down your way?

Cheers,
Bob
Best wishes,
Bobbi Mac

No, unfortunately Sydney has not yet awoken to WW. A number of reasons why, mostly commercial and political. When Sydney does finally get going, it will be long overdue and hopefully HUGE! 8)

In spite of the lack of organised WW activity, a few of us have kept the fire burning and there are a few ex-Warriors bands that have made the jump from garage to club, pub and party gigs. :D

I understand that another retailer is about to fire up WW again in Sydney, but of course it will be a matter of seeing is believing....

Well, only two more sleeps now until the next Warriors Music Assocaiton of NSW Jam night 8)

This time around, we have a slightly lower attendance, but still 5 pre-registered bands and I'm sure some great music will be played and enjoyed by the Warriors

Single Warriors are still encouraged to turn up, as we will be trying to give all comers a go on stage...

Venue: Dundas Sports and Recreation Club, 9 Elder Road, Dundas (Sydney).

Start: 8.30pm

C You There! :D
