What a great gig. Fat Chance played a 45 minute set at Wintersun Coolangatta and it was definitely a fat time. Cyn and Jewells were decked out in their 60's gear and sang up a storm. For those who don't know Wintersun is an unpaid gig, but with lots of exposure. We were set up on Marine Pde, and had 200-300 people stop and listen and bop and sing along to us. Most stayed, some danced in the street. Just a great time was had. All music played was supposed to be of the era to fit with the retro theme of the festival, almost all the songs we played were written pre 1960, the rest in the early 60's, and most people knew the songs and some songs they all sang along to.
Beautiful weather and the stage looked towards the sea, overall a fat fat gig.
