PlanBe Horn Section - Fat Trumpet Needed
Posted: Sun May 31, 2009 9:06 pm"PlanBe" are a warrior band that is attempting to break into the pub,club and corporate scene with a genuine cabaret variety show that seeks to entertain more discerning punters.
Expressions of interest are now being sought from Trumpet players. Ideally, you will have left school, played in various ensembles, and honed your chops already.
An understanding of reading the dots and music theory and knowledge of piano/guitar plus the ability to double of Flugel would be well regarded and highly valued.
Please bear in mind that we do not use music stands on stage or charts. We have developed a system of seperate and integrated rehearsals around learning the actual notes and then let the rhythm section ( we have a brilliant drummer) take care of the timing for us.
You should possess a fine quality of tone and be working towards the stratosphere with your top register as you will be leading a small horn section that is currently limited to only two saxes in various combinations.
Whilst this has generally worked well, the opportunity to pursue corporate gigs would be greatly enhanced if the right player was recruited to add a another dimension to PlanBe.
